Porlock Horse Show started in the 1970s to raise money for clubs and organisations in the village of Porlock. This ethos continues today to support the community.

Porlock Horse Show committee & landowner, tenant, for themselves, their servants, agents and employees and all those connected with Porlock Horse Show do not accept any liability for any damage, whether occasioned by the negligent breach of contract or statutory duty of themselves, their servants, agents, employees or those connected with Porlock Horse Show or otherwise whatsoever. The committee landowners and officials expressly disclaim all liabilities for accident loss or damage to any spectator, property, motor car or other vehicle, motorcycle and cycles or the contents thereof whilst on the show field whether occasioned by the negligence of the committee officials landowners or their servants agents or otherwise. All cars and other vehicles being driven, or motorcycles and cycles being ridden or pushed on the show field are entirely at the owners risk. It is an express condition of every person entering Porlock Horse Show that he/she agrees, or if he/she is under 18 years of age, his/hers parents and/or accompanying adult also accepts the risk of injury or damage that is implicit in riding a horse/pony on or even near, a horse & pony show. The organisers have taken fair & reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these maesures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions and follow the directions of the organisers and all officials and stewards.
